Have your kids been collecting seashells from the beach and bringing them home? My 5 year old started his collection about three beach trips ago, so we really needed to start thinking about what we were going to do with these shells. We decided on seashell picture frames. He was happy to put his shells to use, and I was happy because I can put their cute beach pictures in them. This was a great simple summer afternoon craft and good for working on those fine motor skills.

Supplies:
Glue of Choice. We used Tacky Glue.
Seashells
Directions:
1. Glue 4 popsicles sticks into a square shape in an over-under fashion.
2. After the glue dries, have the kids go through the shells and arrange the ones they like on the frame.
3. Glue to shells to the frame.
And done!
I inserted a picture of my husband and I in Maui when I was pregnant with my first son into my frame. You can glue it to the back of the frame or tape it. I don't know how long these frames will hold up, so it's a good idea to use a print that you have multiples or a digital copies of. You can also glue carboard or cardstock to the back to make it more sturdy. I just propped mine against the back of the counter, but you could also add magnets to the back and put it the refrigerator. I am going to print pictures of the boys and put the frames they made in their rooms.
I hope everyone is having a safe and happy summer!
