Need something to entertain your kids over winter vacation? Do they need a break from toys and video games to work on some fine motor skills? Check out this easy art project that is mess free. The kids only use crayons. My kids and I made these while sitting on the couch watching Spiderman on a rainy day. Simple, but the kids are excited to use their creations as decorations for New Years, and I'm happy to have another handprint keepsake. If you are looking to make a more elaborate keepsake you can always use paint, glitter, shiny foil, pom- poms etc.

First, I started by free-handing some party hats. Remember not to center the hat so you have room for the topper.
Next, the kids colored the hats. Finally, I traced their hands and the boys colored them in. Here is an example of my 2.5 year old's art.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
